After some confusion at the doctors office on if they can get me in today or not, they finally got me on the maternity ward and ready to go.

This (hopefully) is the last look of THE BELLY

The ever expanding belly

>> Thursday, May 4, 2006

So it has really started. The big round belly that can't be mistaken for anything but pregnancy. The all knowing glances from other mothers in the store, the smiles of congratulations from 80's walmart greeters and of course the one little kid who has to say "Mommy she has a fat belly" Gee thanks kid.

8 week ultrasound

>> Friday, March 10, 2006

I woke up this morning, not feeling well at all. Cramping and feeling quite sick. Chris insisted I call the doctor and they set up an ultrasound right away to make sure everything was ok.

My MIL came and picked me up, after waiting an hour they finally got me in. I was so happy to see the little bean with a strong heartbeat on the screen! It is amazing to love something thats the size of a grain of rice!

Introducing Elizabeth Catherine Boggie

>> Friday, February 13, 2004

Welcome to the world my sweet beautiful angel! We went to the hospital on February 9th and I was induced with a small little pill at 8am. After a couple hours, I really started to feel the contractions and then the Doctor broke my water at noon. Then the contractions really started! I was allowed to walk the halls for a while and that helped a bit. Around 4pm I was allowed to go into the birthing suite and the nurse filled up the jaccuzi for me. Oh it was heaven! I didn't want to get out and stayed in for over an hour. Then the epidural man came in to give me some pain medicine to help with the bad contractions I was feeling. After hours of breathing and trying to sleep, they cranked up some Pitocin to help the contractions. Daddy left to take a nap at Grammies and she and Aunt Melly came to stay with me while he was gone. At 5am, I was in alot of pain and asked Daddy to come back. I was only at 6 cm after 21 hours so they really pushed in the Pitocin and cranked up the epidural some more. At 6:30 I started to feel some pressure. I called for the nurse and she came to check me. 10 cm and ready to go! The nurses started getting the room ready and called for the Doctor. He was at home so I started pushing without him! At 6:50am, he strolled into the room and the nurse yelled at him to get a gown on or his clothes were going to be very messy. He got there just in time to help as I gave on final push. At 6:52 am, after only 4 pushes, you were born! He put you on my chest and Daddy cut the cord. The nurse moved you to the warmer and cleaned and weighed you while your Daddy stood closely by! After a couple minutes, Daddy got to hold you and gently put you into my arms. We tried breastfeeding right away and you latched on and started to suck like a pro! Your perfect little face, fingers and toes...you are so beautiful!

I got to take you home today. Its so nice to be out of the hospital and now we can really spend some time getting to know each other. My milk came down yesterday and now your starting to really nurse well.

I love you so much sweet angel! I can't wait to spend everyday with you!

The day is set!

>> Sunday, February 8, 2004

OK, well I'm about 80% sure we are going to have you tomorrow! Its a long time coming and I'm so totally ready to see you Elizabeth! I'm very nervous but I know I can do this!

What do I want to happen?I'm hoping everything will go well and you will be born around 7 or 8 pm. I know you will be perfect and healthy!

I'm guessing you will be about 8 pounds 9 oz and maybe 21 inches long.

The last 9 months have been hard but amazing. First flutters turning into kicks. Seeing the first sonogram then finding out your a girl! Watching my tummy move as you squirm around inside me. I know you will be worth all the morning sickness and uncomfort, you already are and I haven't even seen you yet! I'm just ready to hold you in my arms, touch you and smell you.

Ohh I hope I can sleep tonight...I know I'm going to be so nervous and not sleep but oh well...HEY WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!

Its almost time! Posted by Hello

We went to the ER this morning because I was up all night with bad morning sickness. Chris was scared I was getting dehydrated and he was right. When we were there, they gave me my first ultrasound. Everything was ok, a couple of bags of saline I was able to go home. The baby looks great.

A new life

>> Sunday, May 11, 2003

Over the past few months, My life has changed so much. I quit my job, I moved to New York, my sister passed away, I eloped and I found out I was pregnant all in a month!

Living in a one room hotel room, my belly growing bigger, my family angry with me for leaving them at such a tragic time I can't help but think did I make the right choice? My mom blames me for my sisters death. Like if I didn't leave she never would of died and would of beaten the cancer that was eating away her body. I know she is just hurt and sad but I'm hurt and I'm sad and I'm angry at her for using me as her scapegoat.

I love my husband and I love this little person growing inside of me. Life is hard and our path is going to be very bumpy for a while but I really can't say I have any regrets. I'm getting to know my new family and they are excited about the baby.

I miss my sister terribly but all I can think of is she left me this special little person. Thanksgiving is coming soon, then Christmas. My first Christmas without my family, with out my sister but I know Chris is here with me, loving me.
