The Great Escape

I thought if I ever blogged about The Great Escape, I would be talking about the 6 Flags amusement park near Lake George NY, full of fun photos of us on roller coasters and us having a grand ol' time.

Unfortunately, The Great Escape I am talking about is my son. He finally figured out how to get climb out of his crib. This opens a whole new area of problems for us. Luckily, he isn't in any danger if he goes get out. His bedroom leads into our room and he would wake one of us up in the middle of the night and our door is closed so he can't get out. We don't have any stairs and everything is child proofed and gated off anyway. During the day, I leave our bedroom door open so the A/C can work throughout the apartment and I would see him running gleefully to freedom!

I think the biggest problem I am facing, is the fact that my baby is no longer a baby anymore. He is about ready for us to take the rail off his crib and turn it into a toddler bed. I am not ready for this. I am not ready to let go of possibly my last baby. Why do they need to grow up so fast?

Chris jokes that both Christopher and Elizabeth were conceived with a bottle of scotch. Hmm The liquor store isn't that far, I can walk!
